End The Stigma is a community that provides education, resources, and discussion about mental health. Your story matters!
Who is behind End The Stigma?
Lauren is the founder of End The Stigma, and she is 28 years old and lives in New England (USA). She recovered from depression in 2011 after a six year battle, and has learned how to keep her anxiety under control (for the most part). She loves to help people and has always been a “listener,” not a “talker.” Her passions are theatre, dance, and psychology. She started graduate school in the fall of 2016 to study Clinical Mental Health Counseling and would eventually like to work with children and adolescents with anxiety and depression.
Marissa recently joined End The Stigma’s team, and she contributes to our Facebook page and Twitter. Marissa is passionate about literature and creative nonfiction writing, in addition to raising awareness for mental health conditions and reducing stigma. She currently divides her time between working, writing, and volunteering for two different organizations: End the Stigma and an animal shelter.
